CINOT (Children In Need Of Treatment)

 

The CINOT program pays for urgent dental care for children with serious dental problems.  Your child may be part of this program if they are:

bullet under 18 years of age;
bullet and have dental pain, infection, large cavities or bleeding gums.

 

And if you:

bullet do not have dental insurance;
bullet and can not pay for your child to go to the dentist.

 

Is All Dental Care Covered?

No.  Only basic care is covered.  This includes fillings, x-rays, taking out teeth, and some root canal treatments.  Cleanings and braces are not covered.

How Does My Child Get Into This Program?

If you are a resident of Grey-Bruce, call the Health Unit at 1-800-263-3456/376-9420 or /881-1920 for an appointment.  Children are looked at by a dental hygienist, either at school or at the Health Unit.  They must be seen and approved BEFORE treatment can start.
