Inuit and First Nations: Children’s Oral Health: Children’s Oral Health (COH) is a dental program that is funded through Health Canada. The program involves young First Nations and Inuit children, ages 0-7. It is designed to prevent and control tooth decay, reduce the risk of oral surgery under general anaesthetic and to develop healthy dental habits for both children and caregivers. The program includes dental screening, fluoride varnish applications, pit and fissure sealants, and instruction on healthy dental habits done by a team of Dental Hygienists and Dental Educators.
