A friendly phone call
When you get home from the hospital, a public health nurse will call
you to answer any questions or concerns you have about yourself and
your baby. We can help answer questions about:

enough wet diapers.

Healthy Baby Centres.
A follow-up home visit
During the phone call you will be offered a home visit from your
area public health nurse. This is a chance to have your baby
weighed and to talk about:
any concerns for your
health or your baby’s.
breastfeeding, formula
feeding and starting solids.
what to expect as your
baby grows older.
car seat and home safety.

If more visits would benefit you, your public health nurse can refer
