Suggestions For Labour Kit

• Prenatal record, Hospital and Health Cards, "Help Us To Help You" questionnaire
• Bathrobe, non-skid slippers, socks for cold feet, T shirts (in case it’s warm)
• Toiletry Items - lip gloss or balm, massage oil or powder, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush, ribbons, headband to keep hair back
• Notebook or paper and pencil to keep labour log; a watch
• Distraction Items - picture or object for focal point, cards, puzzles, books, magazines, cassette player and tapes
• Eye Glasses
• Camera, Film and Flash
• List of phone numbers and change for pay phone, calling card
• Comfort Items - your own pillow - labelled with name and phone number, covered with coloured pillow slip, sour candies, mints, rolling pin, tennis ball can, or sock with tennis ball in it
• Snacks for dad/birth partner
• Bathing suits??

For Postpartum

• Nightgowns, slippers, bathrobe
• Nursing bras or bras with good support
• Underwear
• Personal Toiletry Items - deodorant, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, make-up, hairblower, etc., for hair care, shower cap
  *Feminine hygiene products (no tampons)
• Homecoming outfit - loose and comfortable
• Birth Announcements, books, tapes, puzzles, change, thank-you cards, pens

For Baby in Hospital

• Infant car seat to bring baby home
• Diapers, pins (if needed, rubber pants)
• Undershirt
• Sleeper or stretch suit
• Hat
• Receiving Blanket; heavier blanket or bunting baby depending on the weather
