Parenting Teens

The teen years are challenging for both teens and parents. Teens are struggling to gain autonomy and independence. Many are struggling with choices and issues in their early and mid teens that their parents did not face until much later: smoking, alcohol, drugs, parties, peer groups, school, marks, relationships, decisions about sex, violence, after school jobs, assault, and will there be jobs in the future.

Parenting teens effectively has become crucial in helping them to cope with the pressures they may face and to help them thrive in our world today.
