Alcohol, and the CAP-C program. The services the Friendship Centre
provides are: Resource Library, Equipment Lending, Clothing and Food
Bank. The Centre also provided transportation to and from programming
for doctor’s visits, treatment center, etc.

Men’s Program (Grey/Bruce) |
Offers Two Programs for Men
1) The Men's Groups: For Men Who Want to End Abusing Women.
Three week Education for Change (Orientation) Program, followed
by sixteen week counselling groups, available in both Grey and Bruce
Counties. The program leads men through an in depth examination of their
abusive behaviours, an understanding of the impacts of abuse on women
and children and new skills and practice on relating respectfully to
women.
2) My Dad's Group: A Parenting Program for Men Who Want to
Become Better Fathers to their Children.
A 10 week program offered three times per year in Grey and
Bruce counties. In addition there is a three week co-parenting program
for those parents who want to improve their skills parenting as a
"team".

Counselling and Community Services:
Women's House offers individual counselling to women in the communities
of Kincardine, Port Elgin, Southampton, Hanover, Wiarton, Owen Sound,
Walkerton, Markdale, Meaford and Durham. These services are available
free of charge. These counselling services are for women 16 years and
over who are experiencing abuse or healing from abuse.

Provides a safe and supportive environment in which individuals who are
intoxicated or in withdrawal can detoxify. Assessment, referral,
motivation towards positive lifestyle change and group sessions are
provided. Supportive housing can also be provided to clients
attending the Addiction Day Treatment Program or waiting for residential
treatment outside Grey Bruce.

Provides assessment, day treatment, group therapy, individual therapy,
family and marriage counselling, education, follow up services, and
relapse prevention groups for individuals 16 years and over who have

LEGAL SERVICES & SUPPORT |
Victim/Witness Assistance Program |
Provides information, assistance and support to victims and witnesses of
crime throughout the criminal justice process in order to increase their
understanding of, and participation in, the criminal justice process.
Services are available to adult and
child victims and witnesses of crime, after charges have been laid.
Closely associated with the domestic violence court program, VWAP staff
work extensively but not exclusively with victims/witnesses of partner
assault, sexual assault and child abuse.
