Sauble Beach May Become a Blue Flag Beach
When: Monday, July 19, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Where: South Bruce Peninsula Municipal Building, 315 George Street in Wiarton Who: Sarah Winterton; Programme Director, Environmental Defence Canada Lou D’Alessandro; Manager of Health Protection, Grey Bruce Health Unit What: Sauble Beach is being considered as a recipient of the Internationally renowned Blue Flag designation, an eco-label awarded to beaches and marinas. Toronto beaches were the first in Canada to be awarded this designation earlier this year. Why: To discuss and answer questions regarding the Blue Flag designation. -30-
