Lake Eugenia (Town Beach), in Grey Highlands is Now Safe for Bathing

On August 26, 2005, subsequent to two consecutive sets of water samples taken by Public Health from Lake Eugenia (Town Beach), the area was posted as unsafe for bathers to swim due to high bacterial levels exceeding standards set by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Recent results from two consecutive sets of samples have revealed that the bacterial levels do fall within the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards; therefore, based on the these results, the posting is removed and Lake Eugenia (Town Beach) is deemed safe for bathing.
