What Teens Need To Succeed Adolescent Workshop

Everyone wants young people to grow up to be healthy and responsible. However, it can be a challenge to appreciate the needs of an adolescent. What Teens Need to Succeed is a workshop designed to offer more understanding of how to inspire adolescents to achieve their full potential. Keynote speaker Duane Dhal is known for his passion for youth issues and the Asset Building framework. Duane's presentation will offer an overview of the 40 Developmental Assets with examples of interventions that will boost asset development in teens. Duane will also discuss ways to influence interest in positive youth development in the community and workplace. Other guest speakers will address issues including substance use and abuse, adolescent mental health, dangers of technology and sexual orientation.  Media are invited to attend any or all of the sessions.
