Flu Shot at The Plex

Media are invited to attend a photo opportunity at The Plex to highlight the importance of getting an annual flu shot. Debra Atkinson and her daughter Kayla of Port Elgin will attend. As a mother, Atkinson understands the importance of an annual flu shot for her family’s health.

A Public Health Nurse will be on hand to answer media questions with regard to the flu season and upcoming Community Flu Clinics. This event takes place at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in the Boardroom at The Plex, 600 Tomlinson Drive, Port Elgin.

Saugeen Shores and area residents can attend a free walk-in Community Flu Clinic on Thursday, November 23, at Saugeen District Secondary School, 780 Gustavus St., Port Elgin, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free flu vaccine is also available from Public Health by appointment.
