Pandemic Planning
Preparing for any emergency, including an influenza pandemic, is everyone’s responsibility. Public Health works with community partners including other health care agencies, government organizations, business and the public.
In response to Auditor General Jim McCarter’s Annual Report regarding provincial preparations for pandemic the Grey Bruce Health Unit acknowledges responsibility as the local lead agency and has a plan in place. Planning is an on going process requiring constant evaluation.
“We are pleased with the cooperation shown by our community partners. We encourage everyone to plan for any emergency, including pandemic.” says Susan Shular chair of the Health Unit Pandemic Planning Committee.
