Dog Bite on Second Avenue
East Across from City Hall in Owen Sound
OWEN SOUND – On Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at approximately 4:15 p.m., a dog bit an 11-year-old boy who was on roller blades across from City Hall on Second Avenue in Owen Sound.
According to the boy, the golden/butterscotch dog was on a leash, led by a man with dark hair and a black leather jacket. The dog, probably spooked by the roller blades, bit the 11-year-old on the right leg. The animal control officer was unable to locate the dog so it was not put under observation for rabies.
The Public Health Unit is seeking public assistance to identify the dog owner, who appeared to be around 30 years of age and has dark hair.
Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is advised to contact Public Health at 519-376-9420.
