New M’wikwedong Community Garden

On Thursday May 27 at 2:00 p.m. staff, families, neighbours, and volunteers of the M'wikwedong Native Cultural Resource Centre will begin planting the new M'wikwedong Community Garden. The community garden will be developed over a 2-year period. In Phase 1, a small part of the garden will be planted and organic green manure added to the second plot in preparation for planting in 2005. This first plot is reserved for families of the cultural centre. Apartment planters will be available for those who would like to grow a balcony garden.  The second plot will be available for community members who will be selected by a lottery system.
