News Release For Immediate Release October 21, 2005
Flu Protection With Flu Shot Clinics
You might think that only older people need to worry about getting the flu, but who do you think they get it from? The flu affects us all, young and old. The flu is highly contagious and can cause serious illness. Vaccination for the flu makes sense not only for individuals at high risk of complications, but also for healthy, working adults as well as children and the elderly.
Perhaps the only thing worse than getting the flu, is giving it to someone close to you. So make sure you protect yourself, your co-workers, your patients, and your family by getting your free flu shot. The Flu – It’s not just about you.
Public Health drop-in community flu clinics begin October 24. All clinics run from 4-8pm and no appointments are necessary. It is suggested you wear a short sleeve shirt to the clinic. For more information call the Public Health Flu Information Line at 376-9420 or 1-800-263-3456 ext 324 or visit our website at www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca.
