Boil Water Advisory Lifted for the Lakeshore Well Supply, Township of Huron-KinlossLakeshore Well Supply - Medical Officer of Health Dr. Hazel Lynn has lifted the order for a Boil Water Advisory for the Township of Huron-Kinloss for users of the Lakeshore Well Supply located in Blair’s Grove and Point Clark subdivisons, as of 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2006. The results of two consecutive audit samples by Public Health show the water is safe for drinking. “I thank the residential users of the Lakeshore Well Supply located in Blair’s Grove and Point Clark subdivisons for their understanding and cooperation during the six days since the boil water advisory was issued. As of today, the Lakeshore Well Supply water is safe to drink, from your tap without boiling” says Lou D’Alessandro, Manager of the Safe Water Program at the Grey Bruce Health Unit. Residential users of the Lakeshore Well Supply should take the following precautions: · Run cold-water faucets for one minute before using the water. · Run drinking fountains for one minute before using the water. · Flush all garden hoses by running cold water through them for one minute. · Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle. · Drain and refill hot water heaters that are set below 45oC [113oF] (normal setting is 60oC [140oF]). The Public Health Unit thanks the Township of Huron-Kinloss and the Ministry of the Environment for their efforts to resolve the issue regarding the Boil Water Advisory for the Lakeshore Well Supply.
