Successful Flu Vaccine Clinic

Almost 400 people received a free flu shot at Walkerton District Secondary School on Wednesday November 22. This was the first ever walk-in community clinic hosted by Public Health in Walkerton.

Attendance reflected all age groups, with more children and families receiving the flu vaccine. Children 6 months to 23 months are at increased risk of hospital admission because of flu symptoms compared with healthy older children and young adults.

More free flu vaccination clinics will be held on Wednesday, November 29 and Tuesday, December 12 at the Grey Bruce Health Unit in Walkerton. Please call 519-881-1920 to make an appointment.
