Board of Health OPSEU Contract Offer
The Grey Bruce Health Unit would like to provide details of the current and final contract offer to OPSEU Local 276 – Clerical Support, prior to the current job action.

Level One - $17.92 per hour Level Seven (top) - $19.69 per hour |
Wages: 35 hour work week 3% + 3% + 3% increase over 3 years plus signing bonus. Grid reduced to five steps. ($ value represents years 1, 2, 3 plus additional 1% increase in last six months of contract) Level One - $19.06/$19.63/$20.22/$20.42 Level Five (top) - $20.28/$20.89/$21.52/$21.73 |

It is the policy of the Board of Health to determine wage levels based on comparison to positions in similar sized health units as identified in salary reports from the Association of Local Public Health Agencies (alPHa). Additionally, this assessment includes comparisons to current contracts with the Bluewater Board of Education, Grey Bruce Health Services, Grey County, Bruce County and several local municipal employers.
The Board of Health is committed to providing public health services to the residents of Grey and Bruce Counties in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner. It is the board’s position that a negotiated settlement remains the best chance for successful resolution of outstanding issues. We welcome at any time, with or without third party assistance, the resumption of meaningful contract discussions.
