Grey Bruce Health Unit Influenza Clinic Sets Record
Owen Sound – A record number attended the first public influenza clinic of the season Wednesday, October 29, at the new location of the Grey Bruce Health Unit. Almost 1800 (1797) people receive their influenza vaccine. The attendance is approximately 550 more than the Health Unit’s first influenza clinic last year at the Bayshore Community Centre.
Upcoming community walk-in clinics are scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, at Peninsula Shores District School in Wiarton; Wednesday, November 5, at Saugeen District Secondary School; and Thursday, November 6, at Kincardine District Secondary School. All clinics run from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., with no appointment necessary.
Additional community walk-in clinics are scheduled across Grey and Bruce throughout the months of November and December (see attachment). Influenza immunizations are also available, by appointment, at the Public Health offices in Walkerton, Owen Sound and at the Plex in Port Elgin.
