H1N1 Vaccine Available to All Grey Bruce Residents
The H1N1 vaccine will be available to all residents of Grey Bruce, six months of age and older, beginning with the next Community Flu Clinic, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, at the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, Port Elgin. All future scheduled Public Health clinics will offer the H1N1 vaccine to all residents of Grey Bruce six months of age and over. Seniors aged 65 years and older can also receive the Seasonal Flu vaccine.
Physicians offices and family health teams offering the H1N1 vaccine are also being advised to provide the vaccine to their patients six months and older.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care recommends that, in order to stay healthy, everyone six months or older get vaccinated with the H1N1 vaccine. Getting vaccinated also helps stop the spread of the flu virus.
