Wind Turbine Public Forum
The Grey Bruce Health Unit will host two public forums with regard to the health issues associated with large-scale wind turbine projects. Keynote presenter for these evening events is Dr. Ray Copes, Director, Environmental and Occupational Health with the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion. Dr. Copes will present Wind Turbines & Health: A Review of Evidence.
Information will also be presented on the role of the local Public Health Unit as well as the provincial certification process for wind turbine projects.
Forums take place: Thursday, October 1, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.; Grey Bruce Health Unit, 101 17th Street East, Owen Sound.
Tuesday, October 6, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.; Victoria Jubilee Hall, 111 Jackson Street South, Walkerton.
