News Release For Immediate Release: September 24, 2009 Correction: No human involvement
Rabid Skunk at Egremont (Township of Southgate)
Please be advised that this a note updating and correcting the announcement sent on September 23 in respect to the confirmation of rabies in a skunk which was found in the area north east of Mount Forest (Egremont).
It was initially reported that one person was exposed to the skunk and they had started preventative treatment against rabies. Please be advised that there was no human exposure associated with this rabid skunk. No preventative treatment in humans was administered as previously reported.
