Home Support Exercise Program
The Home Support Exercise Program (HSEP) is an evidence-based exercise program, developed by the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging. The program is designed for frail, older adults living in the community, to improve/maintain their current level of function to remain living independently.
The HSEP consists of ten simple, yet progressive, exercises designed to enhance and maintain functional mobility, balance and quality of life of homebound older adults. Trained Personal Support Workers teach these 10 exercises to older adults, provide ongoing support and track client progress over a 16 week period.
For more information on the Home Support Exercise Program, please contact the Falls Program Health Promoter at the Grey Bruce Health Unit: 1-800-263-3456 or 519-376-9420.
