CAR SEATS
Cars are built for adults. Kids don’t fit into
the seats or the adult seat belt system either. So how do you protect your
children when you know that car crashes are the leading cause of death and
injury for kids under 9?
Restrain every child in a seat designed for the
child’s weight, height and age.

UFO
Alert!!
(Unrestrained Flying
Objects)
Any loose objects lying in a vehicle
can become projectiles in a crash. In a collision, when a vehicle comes
to a sudden stop, whatever is loose in the vehicle will continue to
travel at the same speed that the vehicle was travelling. It can then
hit passengers, causing injury and even death. Be aware of what’s lying
around in your vehicle. Something that seems harmless, like a tissue
box for example, can cause injury in a collision. If your child likes
to take toys on road trips in order to stay amused, ensure that they are
soft toys. These will carry less risk of injury.
