Confidential Clinical Services

There are several clinics that provide services to people in our area. Information about birth control, emergency contraceptive pills, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and sexual decision making is presented in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment. After speaking with a nurse, a visit with a physician is available for birth control pill prescriptions, physical examination and STI testing.  Needle Exchange services are also available through the Sexual Health Clinic In Owen Sound and Walkerton, The Victorious Living Centre in Owen Sound and Grant’s Pharmacy in Hanover.  Please call the GB Works phone at (519) 372-5952 for more information.    

There are many low cost contraceptive options available to our clients including birth control pills ($6.00/pack), Evra-contraceptive patches ($6.00/pack), NuvaRing-vaginal contraceptive ring ($10.00/ring) and Depo-Provera ($25.00/injection).

Pregnancy testing is available at all clinic sites. Pregnancy tests are usually done after a woman has missed one menstrual cycle. Information about the options related to an unplanned pregnancy are available. Call us to discuss your needs.
