Grey and Bruce County Smoke-free Bylaws

On September 3, 2002 indoor workplaces and indoor public places in Grey and Bruce became smoke-free, with some minor exemptions.  The new bylaws for both counties prohibit smoking in indoor public places such as restaurants, bars, bingo and billiard halls, bowling alleys and taxis.  Indoor workplaces including staff rooms, eating areas, smoking rooms and vehicles owned and leased by employers are also smoke-free.

Information kits and the required No Smoking signs are available at most municipal offices and the Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce.
