Free Public Forum on Active Transportation

With the trend towards higher and higher gasoline prices, there couldn’t be a better time to hold a forum on alternative transportation.  So dust off that bicycle.  Pull out those running shoes. Come out to the free public forum on Active Transportation.

WHO:        

·        V.I.T.A.L. (Vision for Transportation Alternatives), a local citizens’ group

  • Go for Green, a national non-profit organization
  • City of Owen Sound
  • Public Health  
  • Concerned citizens

WHAT:      A public forum

WHERE:    Owen Sound City Hall, Council Chambers

WHEN:      Tuesday, April 12, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

 

WHY:        

  • Active transportation, such as walking, biking and wheeling, has many benefits health benefits.
  • Cleaner air also has many health and environmental benefits.
  • Economic benefits such as fewer road repairs and eco-tourism for your community; lower gasoline costs for the individual and for business.

Come out and hear what’s being planned.
