Public Health offers free session for parents on playground safety

Parents are invited to attend a free information session about playground safety on June 28^th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Public Health Unit in Owen Sound (920 1^st Ave. West).  The evening will include safety tips for using community and backyard playgrounds.  A public health nurse and a public health inspector will lead the discussion and also answer any questions parents may have. Every year, many children are injured while using playgrounds, mostly due to falls from equipment onto hard surfaces.  For more information and to register, call Public Health at 376-9420.
