Working Together to End Abuse in Families
Service providers from across Grey-Bruce will be gathering on October 6, 2004 for the conference “Working Together to End Abuse in Families.” Sponsored by the Grey Bruce Family Violence Prevention Project and other local agencies, the conference is geared to frontline staff working with families who are experiencing abuse.
World-renowned researcher Dr. Peter Jaffe will speak about the effects of domestic violence on children. Deborah Sinclair, a social worker and community organizer from Toronto, will address vicarious trauma. The final speaker will be Colleen Purdon, who will speak about the next steps for the Community Report Card on Domestic Violence.
