Pregnancy and Reproductive Health in the Workplace

The Grey Bruce Health Unit invites representatives from local workplaces to the Healthy Workplace Executive Breakfast Series The Impact of Work on Pregnancy and the Reproductive Health of the Worker: Protecting Our Future.
Wendy Burgoyne, a health educator through Best Start Resource Centre, Toronto Ontario will discuss
Employers need to know federal, provincial and occupational health and safety regulations that apply to their workplaces. A 2004-workplace study in Grey-Bruce shows 78% of organizations responding do not have a policy relating to health before pregnancy, 16 % were not sure and only 6% have a policy in place.
This workshop will interest business owners, managers, human resource professionals, labour and health and safety representatives, occupational health nurses and others concerned with preventing illness in the workplace.
