News Release For Immediate Release March 9, 2006
Book an appointment for upcoming car seat clinics. Grey-Bruce – Installation of children’s car seats frustrates many parents and caregivers. Checks by police and trained inspectors show seats are often mounted incorrectly, potentially compromising child safety.
Instead of waiting in line, parents are now able to book an appointment to have their child’s car seat inspected. Public Health Nurse Meghan Wilkie says this new system will be more efficient for parents and the car seat inspectors. “We’re hoping to make these clinics more family friendly. There will still be set clinic dates in various locations around Grey and Bruce Counties, but the appointments should reduce the time spent by parents waiting in line with their children.”
Parents are encouraged to call Public Health to book an appointment to guarantee their child’s seat inspection. The next car seat clinic is Saturday, March 18 at Hanover Motors, 664 10th St., Hanover from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
