Successful Flu Vaccine Clinic

Over 600 people received a free flu shot at Saugeen District Secondary School on Thursday November 23. This marks the highest attendance at any clinic in Port Elgin since Public Health first began offering flu vaccinations.

Attendance reflected all age groups, with more children and families receiving the flu vaccine. Children 6 months to 23 months are at increased risk of a hospital admission because of flu symptoms compared with healthy older children and young adults.

Another free flu vaccination clinic will be held on Wednesday, December 13 at the Plex in Port Elgin. Please call 519-376-9420 to make an appointment.
