Let’s Learn Honoured with Excellence in Education Award

Let’s Learn was honoured with an Excellence in Education Award from the Bluewater District School Board. Members of the Let’s Learn Core Decision Making and Planning Committee received the award December 18, 2007.

Let’s Learn Kindergarten Registration allows families to register their children for kindergarten a year prior to attending school. The program checks the child’s growth and development and families become familiar with the school and the community services available to them.

“It is a real honour to be given this award. It takes the dedication of many community partners to make Let's Learn happen”, says Carrie Griffith, Family Health Manager at the Grey Bruce Health Unit and co-chair of Let’s Learn.

Community partners involved with Let’s Learn include: Bruce and Grey Counties; Ontario Early Years Centres; Community Living Owen Sound and District; Keystone Children, Youth and Family Services; Integrated Preschool Speech and Language Program; Bluewater District School Board and Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board.
