Kincardine Youth Celebrate International Youth Day

The Kincardine Youth Waves Coalition celebrates International Youth Day, Saturday, August 15, 2009, with a beach load of activities to promote the youth of the Kincardine area!

Taking place at Station Beach, Kincardine, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., the celebration features kite board demonstrations, beach volleyball, free activities and give-a-ways. There is no admission to events. There will be a barbeque, by donation, with all proceeds going to the youth coalition.

International Youth Day recognizes the potential of youth, celebrates their achievements, and supports engaging youth in decision-making opportunities within their communities. Kincardine Youth Waves is a group of local youth and community members who having been working together to promote the healthy development of our community’s youth.

Community members of all ages are encouraged to come out and enjoy the activities.
