Youth Coalition Puts Their Hearts Into It!
Coffee for a Cause, a benefit event for the family of a local youth undergoing cancer treatment takes place Thursday, February 19. Hosted by the Owen Sound Youth Coalition (OSYC), everyone is encouraged to come out to enjoy an evening of acoustic performances by local youth, while at the same time raising money for a worthy cause.
Coffee for a Cause takes place at the Frog Pond Café, 209 8th Street East, Owen Sound beginning at 7:00 p.m. A limited number of tickets are available at the door for $5.00 each. All proceeds will go to the family to assist with the costs of travelling out of town for treatment.
OSYC encourages those attending to wear something pink to recognize February 19, Day of Pink, a national initiative to celebrate diversity and prevent discrimination, bullying and homophobia.
OSYC is a group of local youth working alongside community stakeholders to build assets for and promote the healthy development of youth in our community. The OSYC would like to thank the Frog Pond for their generous support and sponsorship for this event. Together we can support youth and their involvement in Owen Sound.
