News Release For Immediate Release May 30, 2003
BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR THE VILLAGE OF LIONS HEAD
The Boil Water Advisory for the Village of Lions Head issued on May 26th, 2003 has been lifted, effective May 30, 2003 at 4:00 pm.
The water tests taken over the past week indicate that the water is safe for consumption. Residents and visitors to the Village of Lions Head can resume drinking, cooking and bathing using water from the municipal water system. There is no longer a need to boil the water first.
The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula has worked
closely with the Grey Bruce Health Unit, the Ministry of Environment and the
Ontario Clean Water Agency (system operator) to resolve this issue. All four
parties will continue to monitor the water supply. For more information, residents and visitors can call the Grey Bruce Health Unit at 519-376-9420 or 1-800-263-3456 to speak with the area Public Health Inspector.
