News Release For Immediate Release May 3, 2004Find Out if Your Child is Buckled Up Properly
You can make sure your little ones are buckled in correctly at the free car seat safety check on Saturday, May 15th at the Tiverton Fire Department. The event runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 PM.
It isn’t enough to have a car seat or booster, it must be used on every trip and it must be used correctly. Each child seat on the market has its own method of installation. Installation mistakes are often made because more information is needed. Car seat clinics in Grey and Bruce have shown that over 80% of car seats are not installed or used properly. Is yours?
Free refreshments will be provided and there will be treat bags for the kids. All participants will be entered into a free draw for a high back booster seat.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit, Tiverton Fire Department and South Bruce OPP are hosting the clinic. This event was made possible through the generosity of Bruce Power. -30- For more information: Sandy Rennick, Public Health Nurse Injury Prevention Program, Grey Bruce Health Unit 376-9420 ext. 251
