Re: Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) Announces Environmental Public Health Week 2006
The Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors is pleased to announce the celebration of Environmental Public Health Week 2006 in Canada the week of January 2-8.
Environmental Public Health Week recognizes the hard work of all Certified Public Health Inspectors/Environmental Health Officers across Canada and the importance of environmental health programs in our health care system. We are dedicated professionals who are committed to promoting and protecting public health and continually meeting new challenges from our environment that can affect human health.
Public Health Inspectors/Environmental Health Officers provide services in:
Food Safety Air Quality Drinking Water Quality Playground Safety Rental Housing Conditions Tobacco Reduction Recreational Water Services Outbreak Management Personal Services Facilities Prevention of Foodborne Illness Childcare and Institutional Facilities Onsite Sewage Disposal Assessments
Environmental Public Health Week is celebrated the first week of January each year to correspond with the incorporation date of CIPHI, January 3, 1913.
