Drinking Water Quality & Emergency Management

Media are invited to a briefing on municipal emergency response readiness for a boil water advisory.  The Grey Bruce Health Unit, Ministry of Environment and Walkerton Clean Water Centre are hosting a one-day seminar for municipal water operators to review Ontario’s Drinking Water Quality Management Standard.  Discussion will include a session on emergency management procedures during a boil water advisory. There have been three municipal boil water advisories issued by the Grey Bruce Health Unit in the past three months.

Manager of Health Protection Lou D’Alessandro will provide an overview of Municipal Emergency Response Planning as it pertains to water.
