Durham Conservation Area – McGowan (East Dam), Municipality of West Grey, is now Safe for Bathing
Municipality of West Grey - Beach water sampling at Durham Conservation Area – McGowan (East Dam) shows two consecutive sets of samples within Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards for acceptable bacterial levels. Based on these results, the beach, which was posted as unsafe on July 6, 2007, is now deemed safe for bathing.
