Municipalities Across Grey Bruce Join the World Record Walk
Communities across Grey Bruce are joining Ontario’s efforts to set a Guinness World Record for the most people walking one kilometer at the same time.
The World Record Walk takes place on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. At 12:30 p.m. sharp, participants across the province will start their one kilometer walk in an attempt to break the current record of 100, 915 participants set by Western Australia in September 2006.
Municipalities, workplaces, community groups and schools have all taken up the challenge and walks are set to take place throughout Grey Bruce. To participate in the World Record Walk in your community, arrive by 12:15 p.m. at one of the following locations: Brockton Bruce County Building - Walkerton
