Fathers Matter – The Father Initiative
Children need fathers, and fathers need children. On May 30, 2008, The Father Involvement Initiative – Ontario Network, presents a one-day conference providing tools and useful skills to enable individuals, organizations or programs to be more father inclusive.
Father involvement is a vital part of the well-being of children and family. The conference offers discussion on the challenges to getting fathers/men involved, marketing to men, and tools organizations can use to be more father friendly.
Tim Paquette and Brian Russell, chair and co-chair of The Father Involvement Initiative – Ontario with act as facilitators. Both bring years of experience working with families and with projects and programs involving fathers.
Through videos sharing their own stories, fathers will offer their own experiences of what being a dad means to them.
