Unintentional Injuries in Grey Bruce 2000 to 2009
Unintentional injuries are a major public health issue for Grey and Bruce
Counties. Within our community, the leading causes of injuries are falls,
alcohol misuse, and motor vehicle traffic crashes. Injuries especially impact
our children, youth and older adults. They are a leading cause of
hospitalization and place great stress on our emergency departments. We must
address the factors that influence injury rates within our community.
