Join us for this annual nursing education event.   Safe work environments are key to nursing safety.  Safety encompasses physical safety, emotional safety and psychological safety.   Come hear from a panel of nurses about how they keep “safety first” at work.  Then relax and enjoy some “self-care” sessions to help you maintain balance in your life.  You can explore tai chi, mindfulness, pet therapy and traditional indigenous healing therapies.

Event Objective:

  • Explore safe work environments through a nursing lens.
  • Share stories from front line nurses on how to keep safety first at work.
  • Experience self-care strategies that may help nurses maintain a work-life balance.

Agenda Overview

  • Panel discussion with front line workers “Safety at work and how I ensure I keep myself, my clients and my organization safe”.
  • Self Care sessions for nurses
  • Caring Nurse Awards
  • Lunch

Guest Speakers : TBD

Who should attend? Front line nursing staff, nurse managers, nurse educators and nursing students
