REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for Mental Health ‘SHARE’ Event
The Grey Bruce We C.A.R.E Project is hosting the 5th annual 'Share' event, addressing youth mental health and wellness. This free event is open to youth and adults.
The theme ‘Strengthening the Core – Brain, Body, and Beliefs’ will bring together local mental health professionals, community members and youth to share their stories and life experiences. Sessions will encourage participants to use activity, discussion and creativity to build our ‘core’.
The not-to-be missed keynote speaker, Asante Haughton, will share his passion for social justice and equity. Asante is a peer worker, poet, thinker and speaker who believes in people, global interconnectivity and positive personal change. Asante is recognized by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) as one of the top 150 Difference Makers in mental health in Canada.
The 'Share' event runs 9:00a.m. - 2:30p.m., Thursday, May 2 at the Shallow Lake Community Centre, 550 Princess Street, Shallow Lake. The event is open to youth and adults, there is no admission and a free lunch will be served.
The Grey Bruce We C.A.R.E. Project brings together more than a dozen community agencies and area school boards to support youth mental health and wellness.
