Grey Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, in South Bruce Peninsula.
Around 2:30 p.m., a dog, described as a mid-sized French bulldog-mix, bit a woman at the dog park at Watson and Division streets in Wiarton.
The dog, which was brindle in colour and had a black collar, was with an older man who had white hair and beard. The man was also with a small child and old beagle dog at the park.
Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health needs to confirm the dog involved in this biting incident is not infectious with rabies.
By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
