Dental Health in Grey Bruce
We provide programs and services for babies, children and youth who are 17 years and younger.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit has resumed limited clinical services. Guidelines have been put in place to ensure your safety when visiting a dental hygienist or dentist. All clients, caregivers and family members MUST wear a mask to receive treatment at Grey Bruce Health Unit dental clinics. We currently have a back log of clients awaiting appointments. Clients who require immediate or urgent treatment are urged to contact us directly for an individual assessment. Current Ontario Senior Dental Care Program (OSDCP) Clients
To support impacted clients, all currently enrolled OSDCP clients with an expiry date of July 31, 2020, will be automatically renewed for the next benefit year (2020-2021). A card will be mailed to you.
Healthy Smiles Ontario Extension
Effective immediately, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) is automatically renewing eligibility for all children/youth who were enrolled in Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) to continue enrollment for the next benefit year (August 1, 2020 – July 31, 2021). Eligible clients will be mailed a new dental card, expiring July 31, 2021.
Essential and Emergency Services Stream (EESS) clients whose card has expired between March 19 and July 31, 2020 and who had appointments booked but, were not able to attend due to COVID-19 will be able to re-book these appointments until completion of the required dental services.
HSO clients who have turned 18 between March 19, 2020-July 31, 2020 and who had appointments booked but not able to attend due to COVID-19 will also be able to re-book these appointments until completion of the required dental services.
