Public Advisory

There is a Provincial Order in place, effective October 9th, 2020, mandating the use of face coverings in all public indoor settings across the province, such as businesses, facilities and workplaces, with limited exemptions.  For details, visit the Face Masks and Face Coverings in Ontario. Private Drinking Water Drop-off Locations

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is modifying private drinking water drop-off locations to further protect local hospitals and residents In order to reduce the number of people visiting hospitals during the COVID-19 outbreak, hospitals will no longer be accepting drinking water samples. Grey Bruce Community Recovery Centers – Update

Two Community Recovery Centres are set up, one at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine and the second at the P&H Centre in Hanover. These centres are on stand-by and will only be operational as required.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has developed a formal system of receiving local donations and the distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the wide variety of associated health care partners across Grey Bruce. These settings including long-term care, retirement, group homes, and others congregate living locations such as women’s shelters, Community Living, and facilities housing the homeless.

COVID-19 Testing Update and Online Results

Results for those tested for COVID-19 are available through a provincial online portal found at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/ . You will need a photo health card and personal details to log in. To allow for processing, check the online portal about 5 days after the test swab has been taken.
