BPSO

Grey Bruce Public Health (GBPH) has been a Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) since 2015.

As a BPSO, Grey Bruce Public Health is committed to implementing, evaluating, and disseminating Best Practice Guidelines.

RNAO has more than 50 BPGs covering nine categories: children and youth; clinical; equity, diversity and inclusion; foundational; health system; healthy work environment; mental health and substance use; older adults; and population health.

Over the years, GBPH has been at the forefront in implementing several Best Practice Guidelines and is committed to continuing to implement and sustain evidence-based practices in line with the strategic plan pillar of “Quality and Performance,” emphasizing the delivery of effective public health programs that are evidence-informed and continually improved to best support population health.

The BPSO program aims to improve client outcomes, enhance healthcare delivery, and foster a culture of excellence by integrating RNAO's Best Practice Guidelines (BG) into daily practice.

GBPH Implemented BGs:

  • Engaging Clients Who Use Substances
