Grey Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in the Town of The Blue Mountains.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., a three-year-old child was bitten by a dog while at Thornbury Beach.
The dog is described as being large with black fur. The dog was with a man and a woman and was on a leash.
Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies.
By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
