Grey Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the Municipality of Kincardine.
Around 12:30 p.m., a mixed breed dog, with black fur and white markings, bit a man at the Kincardine Dog Park on Bruce Avenue in Kincardine.
The man was trying to separate his dogs from the other dog when he was bitten. The dog that bit the man was with a woman, described as being in her mid-20s, and a man, believed to be in his 30s.
Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog involved in this biting incident is not infectious with rabies.
By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
